Hi, I am Timothy Ho from LPIP. I have been accepted by Chinese University of Hong Kong, Durham University, University of Exeter, Cardiff University, University of Sussex and University of Kent. At last, I took up the offer of Chinese University of Hong Kong and will study Psychology there.

While I am thrilled to start university life, I would like to share my past experience to provide a new perspective to face adversity.

When looking back into secondary school years, I was used to the exam- oriented drilling way of writing, which drained my energy and hindered my flexibility. I felt lost, not understanding why my effort didn't pay off. As a result, I lacked confidence when doing things. I had an inner voice telling me that I would fail even I tried. That's why I tended to give up and let all the opportunities of self- improvement slipped away.

Yet, Ms Pang patiently used decoding TM and projection TM to train me on my writing. She made me think with flexibility instead of drill rigidly. I was amazed that it is simply natural to express ideas when I focused on thinking, which made me more confident.

Since then, I realize that decoding TM and projection TM can naturally bring out the potential of me. Thus, I start to take every challenges with less pressure. Instead, I see them as opportunities to learn and improve. That is where I learnt to be patient and resilient when learning new things.

Other than academic, Ms Pang upholds a slogan "Sikdo", which means to understand people's perspectives and care for people. Through taking me to attend some meetings and events, she streamlines my character to be more caring and respectful. I find that it actually makes me feel positive when I am nice to people!

After a lengthy and cliffhanging waiting period, we finally heard the thrilling news from Durham University (rank 6 in the UK) that Timothy has been accepted! Ms Pang has encouraged Timothy throughout the TM training: Decoding TM, Projection TM and Two sided debate TM, to be persevere. We would like to congratulate Timothy in his achievement and wish he embrace this attitude in facing future challenges.

Decoding TM, Projection TM and Two sided debate TM,鼓勵Timothy持之以恆。

We are delighted to receive good news from Anicie Sin, a Primary 4 student from Sacred Heart Canossian College who has scored brilliant results in English, scoring over 90 marks in composition, general English, dictation and A and A-'s in listening and penmanship. Under the guidance of Ms Pang, Anicie was taught how kindness can be transformed into productivity and motivation in learning. Her critical thinking has improved immensely! Thank you Ms Pang!

On the 30 of June Saturday, Ms Pang led a group of LPIP students to Visionfirst refugee office at Sai Ying Pun to support sharing and caring with the 'Have You Eaten Rice Yet?' Campaign. We would like to give our greatest thanks for Yoshinoya for supporting LPIP, as well as the kindhearted youngsters who volunteered to donated clothes and books, who also attended today's visit to embrace sharing and caring!

The kids in the photos come from different countries such as Egypt or Nepal! Amid the summer heat, this small room was packed with people. We exchanged smiles and greetings, and though there was an initial sense of apprehension, when the food arrived, we all sat close to each other and chatted away. Starting with a simple "Have you eaten rice yet? (how are you?)", we build bridges into peoples' hearts. We talked to the kids about school life and their hobbies and we had a scrumptious meal together. They even gave us all souvenirs of a pretty drawing on the back of our hands as a totem of thanks. They put so much thought into the design, that in spirit, is forever tattooed on our hands as a symbol of harmony and unity.

Even though the time spent wasn't long, this experience of sharing and caring is very warm and motivating. We hope this can be practiced in our everyday live, and know that a small act of kindness can make a big impact upon those around us!

In September, they will go to secondary schools. Not a time to waste! During the summer, Ms Pang will level up their training to TM training with Two Sided Debate™, Decoding™ and Projection™! So by the time they go to secondary, they will be fully prepared!?

Today Miss Pang brought Carter outside to eat his favourite food, dumplings. After that, she brought Carter to window shopping and bought him some chocolates as treats. Not only does Miss Pang teach her students knowledge, but she also teaches them manners and how to treat people well. Carter has learnt to be kind and 'sik do' through practising goodness in real life?

Jessica Koo from St Paul's co-education college came to Ms Pang six months ago as she failed in English. During the training, she was not only memorising, but also she felt unconfident and stressed when learning English. Decoding Jessica's worries, Ms Pang taught her stress management with the trademark TM training methods, as well as encouraging her not to focus on past mistakes or failure and to be have a positive attitude towards her studies. Despite struggling at first, Jessica later learnt being negative is not the way forward. In the recent term 1 exam, she climbed up to the top 10 in her class and was promoted as a LPIP mentor. ??

Another good news!!! Timothy has received an offer from Durham University in the UK! Great thanks to Ms Pang who had spent much time and efforts in helping him out with the repeated amendments on the personal statement. Just as the old saying says, hard work pays off. But more importantly, we should take hard work as pleasure instead of pressure, as what it brings is priceless.

13 years old Adrian Leung from St. Paul's Co-educational School is ranked third in class for English and fourth for writing+speaking(grade A). Ms Pang does not only use the time in lessons but also her private time to train on her students' speaking. Besides, she enhances her students' confidence to speak. They are grateful to Ms Pang's guidance?❤️

He is very grateful as Ms Pang successfully used decoding and projection to help him select the universities that he can get an offer from.

Kiara Ngai from Marymount Primary school and Carter Cheung from Po Leung Kuk Gold & Silver Exchange Society Pershing Tsang school were trained by Ms Pang with Tender Love and Care❤️, and to have a positive attitude towards learning. They recently received a grade A for their dedication in English, and Carter was awarded a conduct prize putting Ms Pang's TLC into practice.

Tiffany was weary of her university choices, lacking in confidence to apply to the one she wishes to attend. After telling Ms Pang and hearing her projection, she was invigorated and worked tirelessly on her personal statement, seeking feedback to improve on it constantly. And on a Friday morning, she received a conditional offer from the University of Bath. Thank you for Ms Pang's guidance!

Francis Yip our senior mentor came back from Cambridge University for the Christmas holiday. Over the weeks, Francis not only mentored and guided to Irene for maths, he also set a positive role model to the younger students. It is great having Francis back at LPIP, and we all wish him the best when he returns to the UK.

Ms Pang streamlined Allison and Alisha Chan from Kiangsu & Chekiang Primary School to not only have teamwork, but also being aware of the expectations of them to perform and work hard. After learning the importance of attitude to studying, Allison and Alisha were both awarded with A grades in their recent 1st English language exam.

During training with Andrea Lam from Marymount primary school, Ms Pang taught her to have a positive and respectful attitude. Keeping this mindset, Andrea not only was able to get grade A in her English exam, but also learnt the correct approach to studying.

17 years old Nelson was in deep water! He missed the deadlines for the universities of his choice!

One of my family members kindly wrote a 4 character calligraphy of encouragement and luck for me!?He is a famous Chinese calligraphy writer with a warrant of collecting calligraphy writing, and he is ranked one in China for Buddhist texts. ?? In the charity auction held by Zhongshan City Lion Club, his work 'Heart Sutra' was even sold to a pious disciple for RMB18.8million!!!

Recently the report cards were distributed, Matthew Mo was ranked first in the whole form for speaking, reading and continuous assessment! As his teacher and mentor, I appreciate his will to learn, and it is motivating to see my student doing well!

Yesterday, I visited a friend of mine. He is in the film industry whose films have been of top-rating on the internet despite fierce competition worldwide. He has even won the ' Prize of the TV artist '. ?

“Ms. Lisa has been a respectful teacher and an inspiring friend and life mentor to me for the past 10 years. Conversations with her are fun! We might look at trivial everyday topics in lessons, yet she always finds a way to inspire debates on controversial moral issues and to view their underlying values from numerous perspectives. This kind of training reinforces the significance of integrity in our minds and broadens our horizons, ensuring we’re not trapped in a nutshell. She also demonstrates acute observation and compassion as a selfless counsellor to her troubled students. I can’t express my gratitude enough, other than giving her credit for motivating my studies and stimulating my thinking. It marked the greatest turning point in my 18 years.” - Anabelle

Ms. Lisa taught us problem solving, angling, critical thinking, and most importantly, good moral values through sharing her own experiences. The most significant change after attending Ms. Lisa’s lessons is definitely in my behaviour. Ms. Lisa helped me to develop empathy and to understand people. “Ms. Lisa has enlightened me in various areas, especially critical thinking and writing skills. Most importantly, I learnt to be proactive and seek answers when a challenge presents itself. My critical thinking has been enhanced through debating in Ms. Lisa’s lessons. The topic for debate, which was usually an argumentative issue in the news, was given to us on the spot therefore it was essential to read the newspaper daily. The focus was on problem-based learning as we tried to find solutions for open-ended problems in teams. After the debate, we would evaluate our performance and identify aspects to improve on next time. Overall, it helped me to keep abreast of current issues. I also learnt to develop a unique perspective through looking at an argument from different angles.” - Sharon

Nelson Tsang, 15

  • Achieved a grade A in Oral English
  • Now studying at Harrow International School, Hong Kong

Nelson has been a student at Lisa Pang International Program since he was in Primary 4 at St. Joseph’s Primary School. His growing confidence has also helped him in his personal life and he is now much more settled and able to focus on his studies.

“In Primary School I was unable to pass my English exams. I had no confidence and I wasn't able to read. Ms. Lisa built my confidence throughout the time she taught me. As well as teaching me writing, she spent a lot of time developing my speaking skills. Soon I learnt to speak with a British accent. When I went to Harrow International School HK, at first I wasn't able to trust or get on well with classmates. Although it was a personal issue, Ms. Lisa was still willing to listen and show concern, teaching me lateral thinking, enabling me to have a happier school life. Ms. Lisa is a caring person who teaches me foresight and empathy. She has brought warmth and security to my life. Even though I board in Harrow, she keeps tabs on me to make sure I am revising and that I am on the right track.” - Nelson

Ma Ho Yan Mick, 20

Mick is now excelling as a third year student at HKUST.

“If it wasn't for Ms. Lisa, who guided me all the way, I would not have been in a Band 1 high school or one of the top universities in HK. Ms. Lisa has played many roles in my life: a teacher, mentor, mental therapist and a friend.
A teacher: she has a very unique teaching style, focusing not only on English Language but critical thinking through diverse forms of writing and debates. A mentor: I gained a lot of insight when Ms. Lisa shared her past experience in the commercial world. One thing I learned is the importance of a strong moral mindset. Ms. Lisa has always been generous with advice on careers and general life matters too. A mental therapist: Ms. Lisa is very good at reading her students. She understands me well enough not only to customise her teaching for me, but also to offer moral support and settle my anxiety in difficult times. A friend: going to Ms. Lisa's class was similar to visiting a friend on a regular basis, keeping each other updated on our lives and funny encounters. Even now we are still in contact. Ms. Lisa definitely tops my list of role models.” - Mick
